Why We Built This

AI changed what technical hiring needs to measure. Coding fundamentals still matter, but an algorithm-only screen no longer captures how engineers actually build with AI in the loop.

We built CodeArena to measure the full workflow: solving practical problems, directing AI toward the right solution, catching its mistakes, verifying output under conditions you can trust, and validating finalists live when the team needs deeper signal. Companies get clear evidence; candidates get a skills-first process that reflects real work.

What is CodeArena?

CodeArena is an evidence-first technical interview and live validation platform for the AI era. Companies create coding, verification, and AI Critique screens, invite candidates by email, and review results with session replay, structured scorecards, and a Fundamentals Index signal.

How is this different from a traditional coding test?

Traditional tests over-index on producing a passing solution. CodeArena keeps the fundamentals signal, then adds judgment in the AI era: whether candidates can catch confident-but-wrong AI code, verify output, and direct an assistant well. The Fundamentals Index turns that into a comparable signal.

How do candidates join a screen?

You create a technical screen and send invite links by email. Candidates open the link in the browser, no account required. Results, including code replay and integrity events, appear in your dashboard.

Can developers use CodeArena to practice?

Yes. Developers can sharpen the same skills in Practice, working through interview-style problems across 14 languages. It is a secondary part of the product; our focus is helping companies hire.

How much does it cost?
